Wild Berkeley Plum Chuntey
Makes 4 pints or so.
add to pot and dissolve over heat:
1 c sugar
1 c brown sugar
3/4 c apple cider vinegar
add and bring to boil, then simmer with lid for 45-50 minutes:
3-1/2 cups purple plums, seeds removed
1 c golden seedless raisins
2 tps salt
1/3 c chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tps mustard seed
3 Tbs chopped ginger
3/4 tps cayenne
chuntey is done when thickened (it will thicken up more as it cools).
