The pain that she feels as she looks through the window
Looks out at what never can be
She sees when she looks, children laughing and smiling
Knowing that she never can see
The one that she carried for many months
The one that she loves with all her heart
The one who's life was quickly cut short
The son for whom she weeps.

The one she still loves
The one who left when she needed him most
The man she will never see again.

A new life for her, she's found a man
A new life for her, she's got a ring on her finger
A new life, growing inside her
A new life to help the pain subside
