She
sits in a corner
huddled
from the pain
trying
to stay awake
to never
sleep again
She cringes
from the terror
the
dreams come back to her
She
screams out silently
and
tries not to go back there
The memories
come,
and
the memories go
When
she'll be healed,
she
does not know
She wakes
with a scream
in the
middle of the night
heart
pounding
eyes
darting in fright
The memories
of pain
the
memories of birth
and
she will dream again
at least
for all she's worth
Curled
into a ball
she
sits in terror
huddled
against the wall
the
memories come back to her
She closes
her eyes
a tear
drips down her cheek
she
wishes for a friend
who
can comfort her and help her sleep
